Reported via iOS in the Pothole on road/cycleway category anonymously at 20:36, Sunday 2 March 2025

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2836812.

The road has massive pot holes due to the gravel pits and weight of Lorrie’s using Tattershall Thorpe village. Kirkby on Bain now has signs with weight restrictions! These roads cannot and should not be having this type of weight destroying its roads. The Lorrie’s need at alternative route or the roads will continue to be destroyed !! The damage is right through the village and its extremely dangerous for motorists, motorcyclists, cyclists to use the roads. The council and highways need to act urgently and find an alternative route. The SBends just passed the blue bell pub towards Paul’s lane are hot spots for daily collisions (roads to narrow) for Lorrie’s passing each other. Pedestrians being put a risk !! Children walking and cycling to school from the village at huge risk !! The village needs to be 20mph and policed for this speed. Someone will be killed or badly injured. Authorities need to act urgently!! Local politicians we need your assistance along with the road safety partnership and highways agency.

  • Bend on the B1192 (off the bend is another road that leads too North Road). This sharpe bend has very very uneven road surface, surface like potholes. Very busy road that is well used which isn't helping the surface of that road that is in need of repairs

  • What’s happening with this road village. The roads are the worst they have ever been. Impossible for motorcyclists or pushbikes with the surface so bad. Extremely dangerous especially at night. Aware of many accidents due to the pot holes. The authorities need to stop the heavy goods lorries from the pits using the village. It’s unsafe and the roads cannot handle the weight. Kirby on Bain now has weight restrictions the village needs to be 20mph in Tattershall Thorpe. Lorries racing through continuously all day 5 days a week. Come on the authorities act before someone is seriously injured.
