Grass verge next to footpath demolished by large, ridged tyres & other tyre types resulting in no protection for pedestrians. Particularly dangerous is evidence that vehicles are actually driving along the footpath itself - see photos.

  • Thank you for you enquiry. We note the comment regarding damage to verge/footway along Town End Wilsford. This is a common problem on rural roads especially during the winter months and this often causes damage to the verges, which is mostly of a temporary nature, and they tend to recover naturally during the spring and summer. On our routine inspections we do identify areas of severe damage and we programme these repairs for the spring/summer when they have the best chance of a successful repair. Thank you for reporting this matter.
