Immediately outside 29 Newton Way, Woolsthorpe by Colsterworth

Reported via desktop in the Blocked drain category anonymously at 13:20, Monday 10 March 2025

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2837830.

This drain continually overflows causing mud and leaves to wash into the steps leading the door of my house. It deposits mud and leaves on the steps creating a slipping and tripping hazard to all who use the entry to my house. I previously reported this problem under reference 2832633 and was told that the drain had been cleared and subsequently inspected. This is unlikely to have happened as the drain would have been obscured by my own vehicle parked over the drain. My vehicle has been moved to allow access to the drain. I would therefore urge that another inspection is made where it will become obvious that the drain is clogged with earth and other debris.

  • This photo shows how the overflow from the drain accumulates mud and leaves on the steps and pathway into the entry to my house. It becomes slippery and dangerous to me and my visitors. I will repeat that despite the previous assertion that the drain had been cleared, it clearly has not. Please send someone to look at the drain and will be obvious that the drain needs to be cleared.
