  • We cleaned this areas drains in the last year and our last inspection showed that they are working well. It’s worth noting though that at times of extreme weather even well-maintained drains like these can be overwhelmed. If the problem happens again but in less extreme conditions then please report this to us and we will investigate the issue again. Thank you for reporting this matter.

  • We’re sending you this message to let you know that the maintenance of downpipes is the responsibility of property/home owners to maintain. The downpipes are used to direct rain water away from buildings, these get blocked with debris such as leaves/twigs and therefore should be maintained/cleaned out frequently. LCC is not responsible for the clearing of downpipes. If the pipe becomes blocked under the footway and they are unable to clear the property/home owner will need to employ a NRSWA approved contractor to undertake the works in the highway to make the necessary repairs. Thank you for reporting this matter.
