Investigating
Unmarked width restrictions on Warren Lane, Witham St Hughes
Reported via Android in the Road Markings category by Peter M. Cowan at 19:25, Thu 27 March 2025
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2839910.
Despite the claim in Council ref: 2839052 that the road is the same width throughout, it is obvious from the photos that the kerb swerves inwards. One of the photos shows tracks where vehicles have been forced off road onto the grass to take evasive action. Google Earth shows 3 locations where the centre line is missing for 30m or so in the exact location of the pinch-points. Why are these not highlighted or a warning sign on approach?

The width restrictions are still not marked or highlighted. The only clue is that the centre line is deleted for 25m on either side (as can be seen in Google satellite view)
