Loose/missing/chipped kerbstone problem

Reported in the Loose/missing/chipped kerbstone category anonymously at 14:24, Thursday 3 April 2025

Council ref: 4202721.

The kerbs on this street are made from kerb stone and are breaking up, some are raised and there are gaps in the kerb. Caller was previosuly told that the street is on a list for the kerbs to be repaired and when we next came out to repair the kerbs they would be asked whether they wanted dropped kerbs added as a potential reduced rate on the removal of the existing kerb fee as the kerbs would be removed anyway to be repaired. Caller is interested in having a dropped kerb at his property and was wondering when we would be coming out to fix the kerbs.

Updates

  • State changed to: Investigating

Updated by Lincolnshire County Council at 17:30, Thursday 3 April 2025

  • There are currently no widescale plans or schemes to replace kerbs in this area. Kerbs are replaced on a like for like basis as and when required. Vehicle accesses are not just about dropped kerbs, but require a reconstruction of the footway to vehicle access specification with permission from Lincolnshire County Council to ensure the footway strength is not compromised by vehicles. Thank you for reporting this matter.
