Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2840942.
The grit bin is full of the foulest smelling water I have ever smelt. My wife reported this last winter and was fobbed off by LCC saying the water would leak away. The water has not leaked away.

Thank you for your comments. Unfortunately Lincolnshire County Council are unable to remove the water from the grit bin and so we will need to wait for the water to dissipate either through evaporation or through the holes in the base of the grit bin. However, this may take some time. Thank you for reporting this matter.

Thank you for your reply. This bin has been full of water for over a year - it will not evaporate or drain away. How can the full might of Lincolnshire Council workers be unable to drill a few holes in the base of the bin? Not impressed at all.

This grit bin is still full of the foul smelly water even though you told me back in April that it would evaporate. We have just had one of the hottest summers on record and the bin is still full. This is a health hazard and as such should be sorted immediately. The last resort will be for me to have a chat with the Grantham journal to see if they need a smelly story.
