Recently surfaced yellow anti skid surface wearing off after recent repair

Reported via mobile in the Severe loss of chippings category by Res idents at 11:35, Thursday 17 April 2025

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2841618.

Majorly wearing off. Why lay it if it isn't properly adhered. The road also is raised above the rest of the road surface. Generally a poor job carried out by lcc. 1/10. No effort applied and not inspected afterwards. Which would surely not have been deemed acceptable.

  • If you've actually visited the site you will have surely assessed it already? The problem isn't fixed and it still needs rectifying so I will mark it was still ongoing

  • We’re sending you this message to let you know that we’ve assessed the road condition and – whilst it has deteriorated it does not yet require further action. As a major carriageway repair scheme is programmed for August 2025, this job will be included on the order of works. Thank you for reporting this matter.

  • If your planning department was well organised, they would have realised it would have been more financially viable to do this job once instead of doing it twice. Dipping into the public purse twice when it could have been delayed or done properly initially... why was this not picked up?
