Larkin Avenue.Cherry Willingham. No,41-51

Reported via desktop in the Trip hazard/uneven surface category anonymously at 19:20, Fri 25 April 2025

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2842280.

The footpath on this side of the road and also opposite are now becoming a real mess…the surface was gouged in places when work was being done..I believe by the gas or water board many years ago and never repaired..in one place now it is so bad you have to try and only walk on a central bit ..the edges of which are a real trip hazard now.. You have told me in the past that it doesn’t need attention and last year you said it had been done but the location map you provided was Ash Grove..not Larkin Avenue..

  • Thank you for the enquiry regarding the footway on Larkin Avenue. We are aware of the poor general condition, and we have checked to confirm that it has been put forward to the asset team for consideration in their future footway programmes. It appears that the forward planning brief has been accepted, but currently no dates have been allocated. The asset programmes are all countywide, so sites are competing with many others around the county, meaning unfortunately we can only attend so many per financial year. In the meantime this site will be monitored in line with our inspection policy. If any areas deteriorate further in the meantime, please re-report and we can send an officer out to re-assess. Thank you for reporting this matter.

State changed to: No further action
