Storm drain blockage

Hi, ever since I’ve lived at Craorah, common lane, old leake (10 years) the ditch to the left of the property has had only a couple of inches of water in it & dry in the summer, I maintain the weeds etc around it and it’s never been an issue, then since before Christmas it’s started filling up so high it’s been up a foot high up my fence, the ditch leads to the storm drain out front, from there the watercourse goes up the road to Station rd, across and down Caleb Hill road so Witham Forth have told me, I first thought it was the ditch end that was the problem but there is deep standing water under the drain cover next to the road, instead of going up the road it’s now just heading down to the ditch, only because of the dry spell has it gone down a bit but 1 day’s rain will fill it back up the fence. When full it’s not only collapsing my fence but is a danger to the public as it’s deep and very silty, I think if you went it would be hard to get out. Any assistance in clearing the storm drain’s blockage would be greatly appreciated. Kind regards.

Thanks for getting in touch with us. In this case, we’re not responsible for this issue. There are no Lincolnshire County Council assets it is possibly Riperian ownership and is therefore the responsibility of the adjacent landowner. To find the owner of the land you could contact Land Registry at https://www.gov.uk/ government/ organisations/ land-registry You could also try Boston Town Council as this may be a blockage at neighbouring landowners or residents in both directions. Thank you for reporting this matter.
