Outside 33 High Street, Welbourn, LN5 0NH on side of road heading south
Reported via desktop in the Pothole on road/cycleway category by Parish Clerk (Jim Fieldhouse) at 20:23, Thursday 8 May 2025
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2843371.
There have been numerous patch repairs carried out here in the past. The road surface is very fragmented and is not holding together at all well. The road surface is disintegrating. Parents dropping off their children at the primary school nearby park their cars on the opposite side of the road meaning that this side of the road gets lots of traffic. Ideally a large section of the road here should be replaced rather than a pothole filled.

We're sending you this message to let you know that we've assessed the road condition and at this time it does not require urgent repair. However we have identified this location for a larger scale improvement scheme. At this stage we are unable to give specific dates for this or definitely commit to the scheme because we prioritise these schemes based on condition compared with the rest of the County road network and the resources available to us each year. We will continue to monitor this location as part of our routine inspections of the highway in the meantime. Thank you for reporting this matter.
