Limewoods bridleway to Southrey
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2843570.
Regarding bridge over the drain from Campney Lane to Southrey on the Limewoods route. The bridleway bridge is now rotting, the bridge wobbles and moves when the horses walk across it. There is a large gap on one side of the bridge where the wood has swelled and now constricted. The gap is wide enough for a horse to get it's hooves caught in the gap. The bridge is very dangerous and is a risk to our horses when we use the bridge. I am concerned that the bridge will give way/break as our horses walk across. The bridges condition has been deteriorating since last year but is now un-usable with horses. As this bridge is on a vital access route to access local bridleways we would appreciate prompt resolution of the issue.

We have an update. Our public rights of way team have issued this work out to one of the area maintenance teams. Works should be undertaken in the next 90 days. We’ll let you know when the job is complete.
