The road outside 24A Hight Street

Reported via mobile in the Standing water covering less than half the road category by Christopher Chambers at 08:55, Wed 28 May 2025

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2844981.

The rain water is unable to drain as the drains are blocked. This is also causing the path to fill with water. Cars going past are spraying houses with water and this is coming through my front door.

  • This problem has recurred as badly as before in today's heavy rain. I have tried dislodging the blockage with a stick but whilst something soft moves and a few bubbles come up, the water isn't going away.

  • This has now flooded the road and path above door level meaning it is stopping me from getting into my house. As the water is above the door if I open it the water will flood my house. As the path is underwater pedestrians are also unable to use the path. Cars driving past are also pushing the water towards my house more, and water is getting through my letterbox into my house from this also.

This is causing real issues, I’ve had to find other accommodation tonight due to this and needs to be sorted as a matter of urgency.

  • The road has flooded again in last nights rain and cars going past are causing a wave of water to go through my letter box.
