Light attached to a telegraph pole alongside the beck between the old mill and the flagpole bus sheler
Reported via desktop in the Street light category anonymously at 09:15, Thu 5 June 2025
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2845826.
Street light alongside the beck between the old mill building and the bus shelter at the flag pole is still not working. It is very dark along here at night and someone could trip and fall into the beck. This has not worked for 5 months to me knowledge.

This has still not been fixed. Street still does not work. It is very dangerous walking alongside the beck in the dark.

This light has still not been fixed six months after the initial report. As others have said this is a very dangerous situation, particularly at this time of year, with a footpath running alongside a beck in a very dark location and no barrier to stop someone falling down into the water. If this cannot be sorted ASAP then urgent steps should be taken to provide temporary lighting.

It is now 3rd January 2026 and this street light is still not working! This is almost a year since this was first reported as not working. It is street lamp number NKDC 2 by the Beck in Heighington - a very well used footpath which is now totally in the dark. The ground is also uneven here and someone will eventually trip up and have an accident.

23/1/26 - The light has still not been repaired and no explanation provided. I will be writing to Councillor Carrington to ask if he can look into this poor response.
