Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2846731.

Overgrown tree, bits are falling off it onto vehicles, concerned about the general stability of it in respect to house location.

  • Great news, we’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed to our Highways Officers for the team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when the assessment has taken place.

  • We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report because the tree is in good health and not posing a risk to users of the highway. Vehicles should not be illegally using the footway to park on this verge and there is evidence of this. Vehicle access points are for accessing driveways only. Property owners under common law, are allowed to prune back any overhang to their property boundary only as long as it has no adverse impact on the tree. Thank you for reporting this matter.
