Overgrown hedge outside house

The hedge has become so overgrown it has become impossible for two cars to pass each other without mounting the grass verge opposite. This has resulted in the edge of the road in one section having a big dip in which fills with water and is damaging the road. The hedge desperately needs cutting back, I have reported this before to no effect and the situation only gets worse. You can see from the photo where the curb is and how far past the hedging now goes past this, I estimate it is 2 to 3 feet in the worst parts

Great news, we’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed to our Highways Officers for the team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when the assessment has taken place.

We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report. A site inspection was carried out on the 12.06.25. In this instance we don’t intend on taking immediate action because our current resources are extremely limited we have to focus our enforcement on matters of a significant danger or nuisance to road users. We can, however, continue to monitor the site during our routine inspections and will review the situation. Thank you for reporting this matter.
