Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2846709.
The sign is not clear as it states that its for pedestrians only. Guests of hotels who are driving to the hotels on the Brayford Wharf N get confused and are not able to follow the directions correctly.

Great news, we’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed to our Highways Officers for the team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when the assessment has taken place.

We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report because this is the correct signage for the area. It does say “except for access” below the pedestrian zone. Thank you for reporting this matter.

Dear Colleagues at LCC,
Many thanks for your follow up, we are still receiving feedback from our guests that they are unable to identify that the signage means that they are allowed to access the Brayford wharf. I have spoken with my colleague from the Holiday Inn hotel and they are facing similar feedback. This is causing inconvenience to guests who are sometimes coming to Lincoln for the first time and not finding access to hotels. Perhaps another solution could be to add a brown "Hotels signage" along with the current sign which will facilitate guests to understand that they have right to access.
