  • Thank you for this. The issue is not directly THERE, the issue is that someone in the Council had a company provide Tree Surgeon service all the way down Cowbit Road, from the start (near the Essar bridge) to this point at Love Lane.... then stopped. If you check further down this row on Church Gate, you will see trees hanging over. And then check the other side of the road, with the long footpath, it's terribly over grown. This is the issue.

Why did they do only part of the job? Hopefully someone can help, and finish it.

  • Hi there. My report was submitted as one side of the river was cut back, and done really very well. The other side is dangerous. Trees are very low and covering the pathway. Some residents have even gone out with cutters to have a go themselves. One part is so low, I've seen people step into the road to avoid it.

Also just past Love Lane on Church Gate, the trees are very low causing issues for parking, with cars have to have branches rubbing along the top of their cars.

I will add I sometimes park there, and given this response, if I Do again and my car roof is damaged by it, I will poss lodge a complaint with the council, since it is being reported, and nothing being done about it.

Why cut only a short part of the river, when both sides are needed ?
