Blocked drain problem
Reported in the Blocked drain category anonymously at 15:22, Mon 23 June 2025
Council ref: 4204698.
Caller originally reported this at the end of January and work had been assigned only for it to be cancelled afterwards. Ref: 2831594. This road drain has been blocked for some years. It has been reported on more than one occasion and despite rodding, remains blocked. Suspect collapsed pipes or tree root ingress. During heavy rain, water builds up and floods local gardens / driveways.

When I spoke to the team fixing the drains, they stated that the old clay pipes were cracked which had allowed root ingress. They also stated that they had cleared it as best as possible, but that it really needed a liner inserting in the pipes to stop the roots causing the same problem in future. Has this work been carried out or not or is it the councils intention to clear when it blocks again?
