Verge onto highway from property 28 High Street west beyond 30 mph sign

Reported via mobile in the Obstruction (Road/Pavement) category anonymously at 07:14, Sat 5 July 2025

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2848712.

The hedge all along this position has been growing now for several years un maintained . Traffic merging from old chapel cottages has to go beyond Mill Lane centre of road before it is able to observe easterly moving traffic. Easterly moving traffic has to move to centre of Mill Lane / High Street in order to avoid hedge. Traffic entering High Street / Mill Lane is not expecting traffic to be approaching on the right hand side of the road and is pulling out in front of moving vehicles

  • At this time, we do not intend to take immediate action. Due to limited resources, our enforcement efforts must be prioritised toward issues that pose a significant danger or nuisance to road users. An officer has assessed the area, and no safety defects have been identified that require intervention at this stage. However, we will continue to monitor the site as part of our routine inspections and will review the situation should conditions change. Thank you for reporting this matter.
