Swarby/Crofton
Reported via mobile in the Vegetation/Hedges/Trees category anonymously at 20:20, Sat 5 July 2025
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2848752.
It is noted that there are trees growing in the North Beck at the footbridge and that the beck is considerably overgrown in the immediate area. Also as a part time rambler using this area, the footpath between fields between Swarby and Croft is dangerous in areas especially where two fields adjoin. It would be very easy to lose your footing/fall.

We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report because FixMyStreet is a third party app / website for the recording of highway defects. Any concern regarding the flow capacity of the watercourse being reduced ought to be put instead to the Environment Agency or the appropriate Internal Drainage Board for the area. Inspection yesterday did not reveal any particular concern for the surface and nothing is proposed in that regard. However, some minor works will follow to undertake localised vegetation clearance and to replace 2 waymark posts. Thank you for reporting this matter.
