Reported via mobile in the Hanging tree or branch category anonymously at 21:30, Tue 8 July 2025
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2849051.
This tree sits on the grounds of Horncastle registry office. The tree is overgrown on to my property and is touching my property. When there is heavy rain and strong winds, the tree branches hit the side of my property. At night in particular it keeps my young children awake. I am worried that this will inevitable cause damage to my property As well as this, the tree sap is causing damage to my garden furniture.

Hello, A lady called Sara Bright sent someone out to cut the tree back slightly. This was back in 2019/2020. At the time, she worked for Lincolnshire County Council. I also spoke to 2 further members of LCC June 2024. Both confirmed that LCC are responsible, by agreeing to carry out the work. This was never done. Therefore, as far as I am aware LCC are liable. I have searched land registry and it states no information is held for ownership.
Please chop the tree back. I

Also, I often see contractors out during the year on ride on law mowers cutting back the grass. I have asked them who had contracted them and they say LCC. The tree is on the same grounds.- therefore LCC are liable. Thank you.
