We are sorry but we can not take action with this report due to the following reasons. Local Planning Department have organised the necessary approval to the company for access. A TRO is not in place to prohibit the vehicles using this route. There is minor rubbing down taking place of the verges but when witnessed on site we can confirm these are not dangerous. The speeding vehicles is a matter for the police as the Highways have no authority in the regard. Local authorities are not permitted to use 30 mph signs in built up areas, or in areas that are restricted by other means to 30mph. The general rule is that motorists are supposed to be aware that they are in a 30 mph area because the street lamps are 200 yards apart and/or the area is built-up, the use of repeater signs in some areas and not in all cases was problematic in police enforcement.
Thank you for reporting this matter.
