Corner of Inges Lane down and up Willoughby Road.

Reported via desktop in the Obstruction (Road/Pavement) category anonymously at 13:29, Sat 26 July 2025

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2850797.

Supportive of a previous report of another person. Heavy, wide and hight farming machinery now alternative dangerous rout and more of a danger for horse riders, dog walkers, cyclists, etc., some of the taller machinery almost touching overhead cables , smaller delivery vans having to give way more now and cars drivers getting off or on their property. Also, the council public service rubbish wagon drivers if they give way they would be late to the Tip and Depot after. The resurfacing of a possible churned-up tarmac road would be more costly than a few potholes filled. The Villagers surly want to be peaceful with the farmers. (Villagers know or can check private property deeds. Public Block Plans are mainly for location, e.g., planning applications, etc.).

  • Yes, the rubbish to include recycling waggons are a paid public service via council tax. Much of local paid council tax via ELDC is forwarded-on to LCC for highway maintenance, etc.

  • We agree but not sure if an alernative route or same one to make more space for what mentioned in first report, the cutting back of tree branches yet with another incentive. Whatever the reason Willoughby Road especially the residential section is now dangerous and a concern that a caused concern does not result in a lack of peace between the residental section and farmers in the area.

  • Inges Lane not a through road, Willoughby Road is. If nothing done the words churned-up in a previous report would be cracking tarmacked road surface and potholes but expence could be avoived and any possible accident also.

  • Inges Lane at the top of it joins Sloothby High Lane. If it was or not used by larger vehicles it could be adapted by the highways department and also other ways near and below Cumberworth village to maintain in the village environmental human abetation peacefully for all concerned villagers, egg/chichen suppliers and farmers; but a short cut via sat-nav is another concern in all rural areas.

  • Hope this no hiccup post and doubled posted. No room for cycle path or pavement. Horses have right of way but not allowed on a causeway pavement where there is any. Other routes possible had used and can now be for large farming machinery. Mud off large tyres in winter shifts to roadside dries and held together with weeds and grass and road narrower. It become soil and some with fertiliser off fields. The highways dept don't shift it to help farmers and residents.

  • Thank you for sending in your request unfortunately because there isn't a weight restriction on the road we can not take any enforcement action. You’ll need to look at getting a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) for what you have requested. To request a new Traffic Regulation Order, contact your Lincolnshire County Councillor. You are advised to also speak with your Parish/Town council in advance. This will ensure they support the proposal as they will be consulted as part of the legal order process Thank you for reporting this matter.

State changed to: No further action
