  • Great news, we’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed to our Highways Officers for the team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when the assessment has taken place.

  • We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report because The County Council has recently attended a meeting with the landowner regarding the management of Sewstern Lane. It is evident that there are still considerable issues in the area with anti-social and unlawful use by motor vehicles. The landowner has amended the barrier at Thacksons Well Farm to enable horse riders and cycling to continue gaining access, one of the concrete blocks in the middle of the track has been removed to enable access and path users may step over the horizontal concrete posts at the junction with Bottesford Road crossroads. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to open up the lane any further as this will allow access to quads and this will lead to a rapid deterioration in the surface of Sewstern Lane. Thank you for reporting this matter.
