Problem at other roadworks problem

Reported in the Problem at other roadworks category by Customer Services at 09:53, Wed 6 August 2025

Council ref: 4206286.

Road works finished a few weeks ago and all the road signs have been left discarded at side of the road. There is a stop/go sign thrown into the brambles. Concerned about when they come to do the grass verge cutting

  • The work carried out yesterday re cutting hedges back is a big improvement, however only approx 15/20 metres was done where Tytton Lane meets Low road junction. The full Lane needs doing as in places it is getting very difficult to pass on coming traffic safely!! Very dangerous for pedestrians too. This is due to a combination of overgrown hedges and potholes!!

  • Cadent Gas are responsible for the signage left on site. We have reported this to them and they are being charged overrun fees. With regards to the hedge cutting, a Highways Officer will re-attend and take any actions deemed necessary. Thank you for reporting this matter.
