Along Ingoldsby Road from the water treatment plant up the hill to the first house on the left as you approach Lenton

Reported via mobile in the Trip hazard/uneven surface category anonymously at 16:30, Tue 12 August 2025

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2852398.

The stretch of pavement is obstructed with raised ironworks, cracked tarmac with weeds growing through, over grown verge plus overgrown hedging obstructing the foot path (sorry I don’t know who is responsible for the over grown hedging). It’s impassable in places and too unsafe to walk on the road as cars do speed up the hill. The foot path is an essential route for the 2 local rural communities to connect and support each other via the social club, village hall and churches. It extends from the water treatment plant near the bridge up to the first house in Lenton on the left hand side, which is the only foot path in this area.

  • We're sending you this message to let you know that we've assessed the footway condition. We have identified this location for a larger scale improvement scheme. At this stage we are unable to give specific dates for this or definitely commit to the scheme because we prioritise these schemes based on condition compared with the rest of the County footway network and the resources available to us each year. We will continue to monitor this location as part of our routine inspections of the highway in the meantime and raise any jobs as necessary. Thank you for reporting this matter.
