Thanks for getting in touch with us. In this case, we’re not responsible for this issue. However, South Kesteven District Council is. You can report this to them at https://www.southkesteven.gov.uk/ report-it. Thank you for reporting this matter.

Hi. I already reported this to South Kesteven and they told me they aren’t responsible and that I have to report it to Lincolnshire County Council. Please can someone tell me what to do? I’ve already wasted enough of my time with this street sign.

Comments Noted. We can confirm the 'Street Name Plate' is not the maintenance of Lincolnshire County Council Highways but that of the Local District Council. When reporting maintenance issues with these specific sign plates to the District Council, we would advise to be explicit in that it is a street name plate (not a sign). Thank you for reporting this matter.

Ok, seeing as no one will accept responsibility, and I’m tired of the bureaucracy, I’ll just fix tthe thing myself.

We’re sending you this message to let you know that LCC Highways maintain carriageway signs for example Give way signs, mandatory speed limits signs, directional signboards etc. as this is a maintainable LCC highways asset. Street name sign plates are the responsibility of the local district council, in this case, the Sherwood Rise street name plate in Caythorpe is the responsibility of South Kesteven District Council. We have now reported this to them on your behalf. Thank you for reporting this matter.
