Scothern Lane Dunholme

Reported via desktop in the Problem at LCC roadworks category anonymously at 14:06, Fri 15 August 2025

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2852685.

I live on Manor Way and we were not given notice of the roadworks that blocked our street. I left at 0830am and there was no sign of any works and when i came back the road was completely blocked. Apparently there was one sign up the day before with generic information and no specific time/date. That normally would just frustrate me because its not professional, but what has really annoyed me was that the workers said i could go through so i assumed the tarmac was at least dry and it was just the chippings. On driving through the repairs my tyres became cakes in tarmac and stones and some of the rubber has come off 2 of my tyres, which are very expensive. If I had known then i would have parked on the street somewhere. I may have to buy at least one new tyre now.

  • I have just added some photos. This is after I have spent an hour cleaning the tyres a d getting stone chips out of them that were stuck with tarmac.
