Road subsiding into ditch

• Great news, we’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed to our Highways Officers for the team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when the assessment has taken place.

• Progress! We’ve completed our investigation and works are now planned. Once we know when work is due to take place we will let you know.

• This has now dropped by over 30cm and requires immediate attention. There have been several near misses and some accidents resulting in vehicle damage as a result of the subsidence, the latest being a front axle on a sprayer snapping,

• The section of road is not fully repaired - there are 3 sections that run concurrently and only 2 have been done. Ironically I see that the tarmac that could have been used for the 3rd section has been used to level a field gate adjacent to the first section repaired. This road is an accident waiting to happen. There are no street lights and following all of your notifications to everyone that is is now complete the remaining section will catch someone out.
