The photo doesn’t do it justice, but the road depth has dropped materially from the weight of HGV and farm traffic creating an significantly uneven road, which is awful when driving a family car along it, and downpours cause large pools / flooding to occur, which is a hazard for the general public. A permanent solution is required on what is a terrible road to drive on.

The County Council is already aware of the overall carriageway condition on the road described and roads are scored across the County. Whilst we recognise the carriageway has deteriorated, from the pictures provided. They do not require any intervention at this time. Defects shown are minor cracking and not considered a safety hazard. Please be assured the whole highway network is subject to routine safety inspections to prescribed dates and frequency in accordance with the County Council policy.
