Exiting wooded area

Reported via mobile in the Other road surface issue category anonymously at 09:42, Fri 29 August 2025

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council 1 minute later. Council ref: 2853941.

The passing place needs extending including having a more gradual entrance and exit, due to poor road visibility. Vehicles are now having to go repeatedly on the grass verge as can be seen in the photo, which is creating ruts in the verge

  • We’re sending you this message to let you know that we are sorry we are not taking further action on this enquiry. An officer has assessed the enquiry and the defects are caused by drivers over running the verge thus creating rutting. Whilst the County Council may understand some of the customers comments regarding the verges, no action is needed in regard to the safety of highway users. Patching the verge would result in quick deterioration from no proper foundation thus causing the potential for damage. Thank you for reporting this matter.

State changed to: No further action
