11 High Street, South Kyme

Reported via mobile in the Standing water covering less than half the road category anonymously at 17:59, Wed 3 September 2025

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2854530.

The drain keeps getting blocked by leaves etc from trees opposite. This causes the road to flood, but cars driving through the standing water now spray our driveway causing a large puddle on the property. The pavement has just been repaired because of the damage caused by flooding.

  • Great news, we’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed to our Highways Officers for the team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when the assessment has taken place.

    State changed to: Investigating

  • As you can see, the flooding has covered half of the road and encroached into our property. The second photo shows how water is flowing down the hill because drains further up the road are also blocked.

  • We’re sending you this message to let you know that we've inspected and acknowledge that this gully/system is blocked, but because it is not causing a serious highway safety or property flooding issue we will not be ordering work at this time. Thank you for reporting this matter.

State changed to: No further action
