Dunt/13/1 footpath path from back lane to cyclone close
Reported via mobile in the Obstruction category anonymously at 10:54, Fri 12 September 2025
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2855467.
There is a large, high muddy mound that runs across, and obstructs the footpath from Back lane Dunston to cyclone Way, Nocton, making it very difficult to negotiate when it is wet or if one is less mobile and fit .In my view it is a safety issue and also limits access to lots of people. The footpath sign itself needs replacing and the route requires much better signage and a designated crossing where the walk goes through a working industrial farming site with Lorries often blocking access and creating some safety concerns. This footpath was very popular with Dunston people wishing to use the Nocton Little Sports Centre, most people now tend to drive there ! Please can you action before someone is injured.

We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report because On the matter of the raised access across Footpath 12 from the yard hardstanding to the ground between the glass houses, I would comment that this has existed in this form without public complaint for around 20 years. It will doubtless have gathered legitimacy in the minds of those working at, managing or owning the site. Whilst not yet declining the request to enforce its removal, making the owners level this now could be further hampered in that the site has, I believe, changed ownership in the intervening years. You comment that this has the potential to be a particular problem for those who are less mobile or fit? Do you consider yourself to have a particular condition or mobility difficulty meaning you personally feel prejudiced in this way? I ask what might otherwise seem an impertinent question as it is only direct representation from such a prejudiced individual that would invoke duties under the Equalities legislation as written. I would be in a stronger position in approaching the company with that point clarified. Thank you for reporting this matter.
