4,Ranville Close. PE11 3YD

Reported via mobile in the Tree/hedge restricting available highway category anonymously at 10:34, Tuesday 16 September 2025

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2855797.

Footpath is now unable to be used due to the extensive grown of various hedges and trees overhanging. Have physically seen the POSTMAN slip on the path, due to the moss that covers the pathway. Bearing in mind that at present the situation is of DRY condition but will soon be LETHAL when stood on!! The problem has been in place for approx 2/3 years now, as the residents have become elderly and have intern refused to look into the problem. As a resident within the Close’ and having No vegetation as such, I am finding ourselves clearing up more & more vast bins of leaves, bamboo etc! as autumn brings the inevitable fall’ of their leaves. It has become unacceptable and I wish for some action to be taken.

  • 13/10/25. Situation remains almost the same, except that the very much overhanging beech tree has been slightly TRIMMED! I myself cannot stand upright though, as the residents have made a very pathetic job of trying to remedy the situation!! What is your STATUS now on this issue?? Lethal conditions now on the pavement as the moss has become wet and very slippery due to the damp conditions. The offending bushes and trees are getting evermore out of hand as the mild weather creates GROWTH!! I am becoming more sick and tired of clearing up the vortex if debris that makes it way over to our property as autumn causes LEAF FALL! We have NO hedges etc, yet spend a lot of time clearing up someone else’s mess!! Please advise me on your next plan of action to ‘ get to grips’ with the problems at No 4, Ranville Close.
