The Drainage System from Magpie Close to Birds Holt close is not working, every time it rains residents have to deal with water pouring down the road over the top of all the drains not working where it settles at the low point in the road coming centimetres from flooding residents bungalows. Please don’t tell me that there is nothing wrong with the drainage system because there most definitely is. I’d like this to be investigated urgently because peoples homes are on the line. There must be a blockage in the storm sewer or a collapsed pipe because it’s every single drain between the stated locations. Thank you

  • Great news, we’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed to our Highways Officers for the team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when the assessment has taken place.

  • We are sorry we are not taking any further action on this enquiry. An officer has attended the reported location and no immediate concerns were noted with the mentioned drainage assets. Our cyclical team attended this area in May this year and noted that the system was operational once their works had been completed. It’s worth noting that at times of extreme weather even well-maintained drains such as these can be overwhelmed. If any major flooding does occur then please report this issue to us again and we will investigate further. Thank you for reporting this matter.
