Roadside drain outside No.9 Quadring Road, Gosberton

Reported via desktop in the Blocked drain category anonymously at 16:26, Monday 6 October 2025

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2857842.

Formal Complaint – Blocked Roadside Drain (Ref: 2855897) I am raising a formal complaint regarding the blocked roadside drain outside my property. Despite reporting this issue several times over the years – including four times within the past year – no action has been taken. Your recent response confirms the gully/system is blocked but states that no further action will be taken. This is unacceptable. Each time traffic passes, water is splashed forcefully onto my property, creating a “waterfall” effect down the front of my house. This continues to cause distress, risk of damage to my home, and a clear hazard to pedestrians and road users. The council has a duty under the Highways Act 1980 to maintain roads and drainage in a safe condition. I request that this matter be reviewed urgently, and that the blocked drain be cleared and a lasting solution implemented. Please confirm when this will be attended to.
