Along Water Gate on the ENE side of the junction with Green Lane

Reported via desktop in the Other road surface issue category anonymously at 10:07, Thursday 9 October 2025

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2858109.

Up to 50m of the road surface has cracked under the weight of recent traffic. Both sides of the road have dropped towards dykes leaving a centre "hump." It's all very uneven and has grown considerably worse from late Sunday to Wednesday mid-day. I feel attention needs to be paid to this considering the onset of winter, the condition of surrounding routes as alternative routes and the "rat run" for vehicles from Quadring to B1397 Old Boston road. Traffic both the heavy lorries to the building site along the road & eventually the new residents will exacerbate this issue. Thanks.

  • This road section is getting worse day by day. The rate of road collapsing is getting faster, the hump in the road due to subsidence will soon be impassable. Still being usd by heavy farm trailers loaded with produce. This needs to be seen ASAP.
