Surface water gulley adjacent to piramedes caleb hillroad old leake
Reported via desktop in the Standing water covering less than half the road category anonymously at 08:47, Thu 23 October 2025
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2859247.
This surface water gulley again blocked causing standing water after only a short spell of light rain. this will only get worse, covering the entire road width up to 6" deep following heavy downpours. at least it might clear the persistant dog fouling here thats been constantly reported & not been resolved.

Having been told this doesnt require further investigation because the gulley was cleaned a year ago is obviously not adequate. this is the 4th time in as many weeks that it has not coped with light rain. there are 2 problems, neither of which are immediately apparent from a quick inspection in the dry weather. 1. this gulley gets blocked very quickly with mud from farm traffic & leaves from un-maintained trees opposite (this has also been reported several times for said trees visually obstructing this blind junction). 2. the body of the gulley doesnt line up with the grate creating a shelf for debris to collect accelerating any blockage. this will continue to be a problem, especially as the winter weather worsens, until its sorted properly.

This blocked road gulley continues to be a problem which will only get worse as the winter weather approaches. reported numerous times now but not addressed. being told it was cleaned out in the past year isnt a solution when its blocking & flooding nearly every week after light rain. i had to pay thousands of pounds when building here for the footpath & sewer connection, (which also often blocks), so at the very least, the council should maintain them. the other point to note is that the road gulley wasnt specified by the council, but as it was the lowest point of the road & often flooded before the footpath & kerb was in place, the contractor put it in. again at an additional cost to myself. so please fix the problem.
