Saleby lane, Alford opposite the houses
Reported via desktop in the Damaged dyke, ditch or culvert category anonymously at 13:09, Mon 3 November 2025
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2860232.
There is meant to be a cleared ditch along the side of the field along the entire lane. This is fully overgrown with huge weeds. It’s really important that this is cleared asap as will cause flooding.

This fault is not on the publicly maintainable highway. It is the responsibility of the adjacent landowner to maintain their dykes, ditches and culverts. To find the owner of the land you could contact Land Registry at https://www.gov.uk/ government/ organisations/ land-registry Thank you for reporting this matter.

This is very unhelpful. Previous years you have passed this in to the landowner as it has caused flooding problems. Together with you drainage needing unblocking.
