Entry to Etherington street

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2860617.

We have recently had work done to Etherington Street in Gainsborough. The entire road was ripped up and has been resurfaced. They have done a really good job. However, on the 4th November, me and my son were walking into town (following the cones and were not on the road) at 17.10 and as we were coming around the corner (at the bottom of Etherington Street), my son tripped over some of what I assume to be either some of the old road or new road bits just left around the corner, not coned off. I appreciate there isn’t a lot of room as the road was coned but I think the bits of road were left irresponsibly which caused my son to fall over it and hurt himself. I have been in touch with the National Highways and they sent me a link which I have followed and got to here. Can you please tell me where I can make my complaint/take this further? Thanks

  • Great news, we’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed to our Highways Officers for the team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when the assessment has taken place.
