Drain covers loud rattle as cars drive over them

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2861469.

Since work was completed on Nettleham highstreet there are 2 drains that make a loud rattling sound as cars drive over them. This is a real nuisance to residents, especially at night. I don't have a photo, but if you stand outside Vines hairdressers and wait for some vehicles to pass, you'll hear them straight away. Please check and ensure the drain covers sit properly on the drains.

    These drain covers are making a clanking noise every time a vehicle passes over them . It’s all day and all night so is very disturbing especially overnight.

  • Great news, we’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed to our Highways Officers for the team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when the assessment has taken place.
