Thanks for letting us know about your issue with standing water covering less than half the road.
We have experienced a large amount of rainfall in a short period of time. We are prioritising reports where the flooding poses a risk to life or a significant risk of internal flooding.
In times of extremely heavy rain drains can become overwhelmed and at the moment roadside drains may not be able to drain away due to watercourses being full and backing up.
If the problem becomes significantly worse during this incident please contact us again. You can find out more about flooding and drainage on our website

Great news, we’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed to our Highways Officers for the team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when the assessment has taken place.

Thank you for your report. We've inspected and acknowledge that this gully/system is blocked, but because it is not causing a serious highway safety or property flooding issue we will not be ordering work at this time. It’s worth noting though that at times of extreme weather even well-maintained drains like these can be overwhelmed. If the problem happens again but in less extreme conditions then please report this to us and we will investigate the issue again. Thank you for reporting this matter.

Absolutely disgusting. Why was a gully cleaning crew out this week and not done a single one, even though it was signboarded as being done. I guessing it's because they are contractors

As of December 11 this issue continues. Due to the leaf fall from the trees in central park at the junction of norfolk street and Tawney street, the drain is blocked. Just needs a suction truck. 5 minute job. Slippery road signs have been placed on all 4 approaches including one outside my house which was half on the pavement and half on the road. This caused chaos with school traffic queueing for the lights and someone moved it onto the pavement. Now dozens of schoolchildren, prams and mobility scooters use my property to get around. At one point it was dragged fully onto my property so i couldn't even bring my wheelie bin out. please fix the drain and remove the signs as a priority or the one in robin hoods walk will get moved again.

This really needs bloody well sorting. I have fallen on black ice on the pavement this morning hurting my back and hip. This ice is being caused by the wash from the huge puddle going up the pavement. I have witnessed about 9 people slip and fall on it this morning. The pedestrian crossing on Norfolk street is also flooded and probably will be icy in the morning. There is a burst water main on robin hoods walk adding the problem.
Fix it ffs
