Blocked drains near and outside Becketts Court Flats are causing flooding after rain, creating hazards for residents, pedestrians, and vehicles. The problem has worsened since new housing was built opposite, and the nearby bend increases accident risk. Urgent attention is needed.

Great news, we’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed to our Highways Officers for the team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when the assessment has taken place.

Following heavy rain from the weekend again - there is still an ongoing issue with flooding outside Becketts Court Flats the drains are still not clearing and needing attention here. Standing water makes it difficult to access the residential properties - by crossing the road and will cause an accident from vehicles coming round the blind bend. Please see photo outside Becketts Court Flats (Tuesday 9th Dec), to again illustrate the flooding issue that pedestrians, flat residents and traffic are faced with after heavy rain.

Just to let you know this issue has turned out to be more complicated than we first thought. We need to take this on for more investigation. We will let you know the situation as soon as we can. Thanks for bearing with us.
