Corner of Read's Lane and Newton Way

Reported via mobile in the Damaged road edge, encroaches more than 100mm category anonymously at 11:59, Tuesday 18 November 2025

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2862006.

Large vehicles have cut the corner and carved it out both deep and wide. Damage continues along Newton Way for about 25m and around 500mm from the metallic road.

Delivery vehicles are forced to run off the road as vehicles are frequently parked on the opposite side.

Ideally the damaged area should be incorporated in to existing road.

  • We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report because we do not routinely change verge into tarmac to increase the road area. There are likely to be underground utility services and we are unable to prevent vehicles from cutting corners if they choose to do that. Unfortunately this seems to be a case where drivers are not slowing down and waiting to pass safely. Thank you for reporting this matter.

State changed to: No further action
