Drain cover outside 71 Gedney Road, Long Sutton, PE12 9JU

Reported via desktop in the Standing water covering less than half the road category anonymously at 12:17, Tuesday 18 November 2025

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2862010.

When it rains, the drain can't cope with the water and the footpath floods. It takes a very long time to subside.

  • We cleaned this areas drains in the last year and our last inspection showed that they are working well. It’s worth noting though that at times of extreme weather even well-maintained drains like these can be overwhelmed. If the problem happens again but in less extreme conditions then please report this to us and we will investigate the issue again. Thank you for reporting this matter.

  • These photos were taken after a very small amount of rain. The drain cover is under water. The rain overflows and runs down my driveway towards my garage. I understand you saying they have been cleaned in the last year, but they are clearly blocked again.

  • As you can see from the new photos, the drain is still blocked after minimal rainfall. It doesn't need much rain for it to overflow and flood my driveway.
