Outside 300 Ropery Road

Reported via Android in the Blocked drain category anonymously at 18:34, Sun 30 November 2025

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2863556.

The drain is full of silt and mud and rubish, this has been like this for OVER 2 YEARS when I last reported it at the end of October 2023! You told me it had been sent to a team to be dealt with... But nothing has ever been done about it and you then closed the complaint stating it had been dealt with... NO IT HAS NOT! The drain is on the pavement bordering the wall. I cannot believe that I am having to raise this with you again. PLEASE address this, this time.

  • Why have we closed this report? We cleaned this areas drains in the last year and our last inspection showed that they are working well. It’s worth noting though that at times of extreme weather even well-maintained drains like these can be overwhelmed. If the problem happens again but in less extreme conditions then please report this to us and we will investigate the issue again. Thank you for reporting this matter.

  • You said "If the problem happens again but in less extreme conditions then please report this to us" but what exactly is meant by a less extreme circumstance? This was a heavy shower for about 20 minutes which I wouldn't have considered extreme. I appreciate you said this area's drains have been cleaned out within the last year and at last inspection they were working well but this drain hasn't drained persistent or heavy rain for more than 2 years! So in what conditions was the drain inspection made to be seen as draining well... I'd appreciate knowing how 'rainy' it was so I can work out what the "less extreme" circumstance might be, to be able to report it again. Thank you
