2nd drain along School Lane from Grantham Road

Reported via desktop in the Standing water covering more than half the road category by David Holmes, Parish Clerk Old Somerby PC at 15:33, Tue 2 December 2025

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2863845.

Recently following a Fix My Street report from a resident LCC workmen attended to check the drain and found the drain had either collapsed or was blocked and said to a householder they would report it.. This is to check on progress because now the road is often flooded following rain fail whereas previously the drains were able to clear the water. Not any more.

  • Rather alarmingly a hole has now appeared in the road surface next to the drain in question with also obvious cracks in the road surface. The fear is it could lead to a SINK HOLE. An inspection is vital.

  • It has now been noticed that a hole has appeared next to that kerbside drain with cracks nearby in the road surface. There is concern that the hole etc might indicate a sink hole which is quite alarming. P)lease take this into consideration in your forthcoming inspection.,
