Investigating

The road is an insufficient width and has insufficient markings to deal with the very large numbers of extremely heavy and wide tractors and lorries particularly coming to and from staples farm. I use the road every day and have myself witnessed a staples tractor tip over into the dyke when passing another tractor as the road edges are not solid. Particularly during dark hours it is difficult to safely pass the large tractors, some with extra wide tyres, as you dare not get too close to the road edges as they are not solid. It requires more than patch repairs, the road edges need to be drivable even for large vehicles. I appreciate it’s a rural road but given the amount of haulage and farm traffic which is increasing in number and size of vehicle I believe a longer term plan needs consideration please as the road is becoming increasingly unsafe as it’s being used by more and larger vehicles than would usually be the case due to the important local business.
