Same problem that has been reported constantly over the last 3 years, the ongoing condition of the road - serious deterioration over a long stretch from Church Lane to Spalding Gate heading . Poor attempt at the last repair last week, road condition is causing shaking damage to properties along High Road. Now seeking assistance from Parish and MP to have this stretch of road repaired properly. Patching will not do as this road is in heavy use (16,800 vehicles + each day).

Great news, we’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed to our Highways Officers for the team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when the assessment has taken place.

We're sending you this message to let you know that we've assessed the road condition and at this time it does not require urgent repair. However we have identified this location for a larger scale improvement scheme. At this stage we are unable to give specific dates for this or definitely commit to the scheme because we prioritise these schemes based on condition compared with the rest of the County road network and the resources available to us each year. We will continue to monitor this location as part of our routine inspections of the highway in the meantime. Thank you for reporting this matter.
